Healing power:
The fresh herb (juice) is used against premature greying of hair.
It promotes hairgrowing by appling extract to the scalp.
Extract taken internally, blackens the hair, beard and eyebrows.
It ensures as brain tonicum and it is prescribed for dizziness,
blurry vision,
headache,
for good digestion.
Eclipta is used as liver- and kidney tonic and as
astringent hemostatic.

Description of the plant:
Eclipta is annual, gets white flowers and reaches a height up to 70 cm. The location should be sunny to halfshady. Eclipta needs normal soil.
It is a Chinese medicinal herb and also an Ayurvedic herb. In China and India eclipta is used as anti-aging-herb.

Propagation:
In the middle of May you sow the seed directly into rows in the garden. Or you start seeds at late winter in pots or flats containing a sterilized soil mix. Keep damp.
As seedings appear and when they are large enough to handle, transplant into pots. Than hard them by gradual exposure to outdoor conditions. After frost transplant to garden.
I sowed Eclipta-seeds on March 8th 2005. Seedings appeard on March 18th 2005.
