Description of the plant:
Cinnamon yam only can withstand frost up to -5°C. You have to protect it against frost. The location should be sunny to halfshady. Cinnamon yam reaches a height up to 2,00 m and is used as herb in traditional Chinese medicine.
The plant is a tall climbing vine from the Philippines and gets white, cinnamon-scented flowers, later edible tubers.
Propagation:
In winter store the tubers at a dark and cool place. In spring you plant them in the garden.
Cinnamon yam gets small aerial-borne tubers. With them the plant can be propagated. Plant them into soil.
