- has got general tonic action,
- in case of digestion problems, especially
- at diarrhea and intestine trouble,
- blood purifier,
- at migraine,
- at inflammations of throat and gum. You have to gargle with tea or to wash out the throat.
- at gout and rheumatism,
- to relieve headache.
How to use:
Out of the leaves and flowers tea is made. You can take fresh or dried herb.
Dosis: Pour 1/4 litre boiling water on 1 dessert spoonful herb. Wait 15 Minutes. Drink one cup 1 to 3 times daily.
Description of the plant:
Betony grows perennial and can withstand frost, reaches a height between 30 to 50 cm and loves a sunny location in a normal soil. You find the plant on dry meadows and on the sunny edge of the forest.
Betony gets pink flowers during July to August and belongs to the labiates.
Propagation:
Start seeds in spring from March directly in rows in your garden. It is also possible to sow it in late summer at the beginning of August.
