Description of the plant:
Schisandra is a climbing plant with a height up to 2,00 m, which can withstand frost. The location should be sunny to halfshady, the soil normal.
Schisandra belongs to the herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine and to the magnolia family.
Propagation:
Start seeds in autumn in flats, which have to be outdoors for 4 to 6 weeks at temperatures about 0° - 5° C. If you can´t guarantee these temperatures, put the flats in the refrigerator. Don´t cover them with a film, because then the seeds could go mouldy.
After the 4 - 6 weeks the temperature should be about 10° - 15°C.
