- Coriander flushes out poisonous metals and prevents therefore Alzheimer´s disease, because the poisonous metals can´t be deposited in the brain cells.
Metals like lead, mercury and aluminium, which are in the teeth because of amalgam fillings or in contaminated food, can reach your body.

- It is said, that Coriander can kill salmonellae in the intestine. The active substance, which kills bacteria, is called dodecenal. You find it in the leaves and in the seed.

How to use:
The seed has to be dried and used as tea.
Recipe for the tea:
Pour 100 millilitre boiling water on 1 dessert spoon grinded seeds and wait 12 minutes before you drink it.
Coriander even is used as spice, for example in stews, cabbage dishes and peans and beans dishes. It is an ingredient of curry.
The fresh leaves taste very well in Asiatic dishes.
In India you find Coriander in the typical yoghurt-beverage Lassi.

Description of the plant:
The natural habits of coriander are Northafrica and Asia.
Coriander grows annual, reaches a height up to 50 cm and gets little white flowers.

Propagation:
Start seeds from April to June directly in your garden. The depth should be 1 cm. Only press the seed, don´t cover it with soil.
The distance between the plants should have to be 25 x 10 .
The seed germinates at temperatures between 16 to 20 °C after 14 to 20 days.
The location should be sunny in a low-nutrient, porous soil.

Ingredients:
Tanning agents, essential oil, vitamin C, protein, sitosterin, dodecenal.

Recipe for coriander soup:
a hand of fresh Corianderleaves
3 onions
50 g olive oil
30 g flour
1 litre water with vegetable stock cubes
120 g cheese (gouda)
creme faiche

The onions have to be fine cut and steamed glassy in the olive oil. Stir the flour and pour the 1 litre water with vegetable stock cubes.Let it boil for 15 minutes.
Add the fine cut Corianderleaves, but let them boil.
Put the fine rubbed cheese on the soup.
Put creme fraiche on the soup and serve it with white bread.
