How to use:
A root decoction is used for blood cleansing. You have to make a tea out of the decoction.

Description of the plant:
Alkanet grows biennial and can withstand frost. Normally the plant fowers in the second year after sowing, but sometimes Alkanet flowers already in the first year.
The plant reaches a height up to 80 cm and flowers blue-violet. Alkanet loves a sunny location in a normal soil and belongs to the family of borage.
If you have got settled this plant in your garden, it sows by itself constantly very numerously.

Propagation:
Sow the seeds from April to Septembre directly in rows in your garden.
I sowed Alkanet on 23th April 2005 and on 06th May 2005 it germinated.
