Rosemary vine or Rosemary tea are recommended - for chronic weakness, - rheumatism, - gout, - upper stomach colics, - to stimulate circulation, - for strenghtening and balance of the nervous system, - for low blood pressure, - at feeling of fullness, - winds, - spasmodic stomach-, intestine- and gall bladder trouble, - for external use in case of joint- and muscle rheumatism, - Rosemary vine is said to increase potency. How to use:
The leaves are picked before flowering and dried.
Recipe for Rosemary vine as healing vine:
The active substances are extracted out of the Rosemary by the alcohol. The best is to take pure vine from biological cultivation.
Pour 70 ml white vine on 20 g Rosemary leaves. Let it draw for 5 days. Drink 1 little glass once per day.
Recipe for the Rosemary tea:
Pour 1/4 litre boiling water on 1 dessert spoon Rosemary leaves. Let it draw for 15 minutes. Drink 2 times daily one cup of Rosemary tea, but donīt drink the tea to late in the evening. It could cause problems in getting to sleep.
Al last Rosemary is used in the kitchen as spice in vegetable- and meat dishes. Description of the plant:
Rosemary grows as shrub and can reach a height up to 2 m. The plant has got leather needle-like leaves and gets from April to June light-blue to pink flowers.
The natural habits of Rosemary are the mediterranean Areas. The plant can withstand frost only limited. Propagation:
1) By seeds: Start seeds in March indoors in flats at temperatures about 18 °C (65° F). When the plants are big enough to handle transplant them into bigger pots. Transplant them into the garden, when the danger of frost is over.
2) By layers. Ingredients:
essential oil, bitter constituents, flavonoides, tanning agents, resins, plant acids, saponines.
