Myrobalan is a plant, which is used in traditional Chinese medicine as well as in Ayurvedic medicine.

Description of the plant:
Myrobalan grows perennial but cannot withstand frost. The plant reaches a height up to 2,00 m. The location should be sunny to halfshady. Myrobalan wants normal soil.

Propagation:
Start seeds at the beginning of February indoors in flats. For germination it is also okay to have temperatures under 20 °C. When the little plants appear, only water moderately.
If the soil is to moisty, the young plants die.
I sowed Myrobalan on 27th February 2005 and on 4th April 2005 the seeds germinated.

Ingredients:
vitamin c, calcium, calium, iron, beta-carotin, vitamin e, pectin, bioflavonoide and 13 different tanning agents.
